Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said two civilian vessels were struck in Bulgarian waters overnight, with one sinking and the other sustaining significant damage.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine’s Navy contacted its Bulgarian counterparts and confirmed that the vessels were targeted in a combined Russian attack involving naval and aerial drones.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted no operations in that area of the Black Sea and described the incident as part of Russia’s efforts to make the western Black Sea unsuitable for navigation.
