surfing has always been something I’ve wanted to try, and being here in Costa Rica has been the perfect time to give it a go.

the feeling of being out there in the water, feeling the pull and push of the tide, and the occasional water up the nose has made me feel so alive and connected to nature.

a couple of days ago, I caught my first 3 footer and rode the face. I had goosebumps, happy tears, and an overwhelming sense of being in sync with nature. a feeling I will never forget.

the few times I’ve surfed this trip, I’ve learned that you have to leave the ego behind, stay present in the moment, & just have fun.
