I remember sitting by Rio Chirripo in Costa Rica and having this moment.

I imagined myself as just one water particle in the river, floating along in the river, following the flow until I reached the ocean.

but then I asked myself, “What if I’m not separate from the whole? What if I am the river, not just a particle?”.

this thought has stuck with me since then and I find it so profound. I and the world are not separate. you and me are not separate.

spending time in nature is so valuable, not only for our health, but for our souls. nature is the best teacher. go sit with her for a while and I promise you, she will teach you something new.

in just a little over a month, we will be spending 3 months in Africa and I’ve started spending time learning Amharic.
