There are subtle differences in flavor depending on where vanilla beans are grown… and how they are cured makes a difference as well..

Madagascar vanilla beans are what most people are used to for any vanilla product….

I would say Comoros grown vanilla beans have an almost like a vanilla mash mellow taste with a fruity sweetness…

Bitpaste (vanilla paste) can be used as a 1:1 replacement for vanilla extract in any recipe (as long as you are ok with a little gritty ness)
