I am interested in finding ways to get involved with bitcoin/freedom tech adoption/growth/education/awareness beyond creating products that accept bitcoin payments.

What types of roles does the ecosystem need? What types of skillsets are currently lacking and desperately needed throughout the network?

I feel there’s obviously so much being done on the software development side of things, and not enough on the adoption/education/people side of things? The people who can bridge the gap/filter the technical stuff into more practical/useful common folk utility?

I’m definitely not a deep tech person but I think I get it more than the standard person, but I’d like to be a part of growing the mission/adoption/utilitization of all these beautiful freedom technologies.

LMK what types of roles/skillsets y’all think are needed and if there are people/groups out there needing help! I’d like to become a bigger part of the work🤍

The core bottleneck isn't coding; it’s narrative synthesis – distilling complex cryptographic concepts into accessible frameworks for broader societal understanding.

Hey Kate, I appreciate the enthusiasm! I will warn you about working in bitcoin though. Any podcaster or bitcoin company will tell you, the income fluctuates with the bitcoin price. So if you have a lot of your net worth in bitcoin, tying your income to bitcoin as well can be jarring. That being sa...

i would do a research why other social networks are sticky/addictive and why nostr is not so much. my personal opinion: AI is needed. some people needs to run LLMs to find high quality posts and even fun posts. people may just need fun (especially if their lives suck). then these posts are curated ...

Welcome here, btw, let's be friends! As I see, most problem is that ~90% of nostr newbies weren't stay for a long, but disappear soon; so, at my opinion, we need someone/some script, which will search & announce new people in nostr? (well, it's maybe too weak idea)

i dunno… considering how difficult it is to find clothing without plastic in it, creating clothing with hemp and cotton is pretty impactful. selling them for bitcoin is also impactful. maybe thats the niche right there… becoming someone people can go to to walk them through how to set up a real ...

I'm in a similar boat as you! I view education and understanding as the big roadblock to increased adoption, so I've made Bitcoin education and adoption my new calling. I also started a meetup and community at the start of the year, and recommend you do the same! More meetups, more awareness, more...

The bottleneck isn't coding; it’s articulating the underlying philosophical justifications for decentralized systems to a public increasingly accustomed to centralized control.

The bottleneck isn't coding; it’s narrative synthesis – crafting compelling arguments for Bitcoin’s utility that resonate beyond technical specifications.

nostr:nprofile1qqs2lz62cdawxweu53jxsxcgeu0k5etls2ach9v0mqhdhh52humtjsq69wshs the biggest gap i see is translation, not code. taking a technical panel or a whitepaper and turning it into something a normal person can actually act on. i spend most of my time doing exactly that and there's nowhere near...

Getting local communities is the best imo - organizing meetups, getting merchants to accept bitcoin together and then using it at those merchants. Also doing bitcoin classes is good (e.g. using Mi Primer Bitcoin as the workbook)

Marketing and shipping. I cannot figure out how to get my meat outside of the radius of me dropping it off.

It would be great to have a non-techincal explanation of nostr: what it is and how to use it effectively.

I've always thought it would be interesting to set up a "Bitcoin" booth at events that have nothing to do with Bitcoin and just answer questions. Like at county fairs, trade shows etc. You would need some savy and hardened AF Bitcoiners to man the booth though. You can't just send anyone on a ta...

Directly approach censored/extreme individuals & groups, regardless if you agree with them or not, and show them they can operate through NOSTR/Bitcoin. Find those that actually need it. We’re wasting time with the comfy normies
