Shapiro is concerned about military funding being cut and wants the U.S. military to continue fighting around the world.

This is just misdirection. Cutting funding to Israel is no problem when the national defence authorisation act of 2027 is passed. The proposed merger between the israeli and american army will give all the access the Israelis need.
