If we had to reimagine what our education system should look like, what would you change/do differently? #asknostr

I think about this a lot... I reflect about my own educational gaps and previous mistakes with my kids' education. Many decades (maybe centuries?) ago, families used to be more involved in the education of their children. It became mostly delegated to government-led centralized school boards with almost no room for healthy competition.

This is a non comprehensive list of the topics I miss:

Principles of Economics
- human action, value and price
- importance of property rights
- production to overcome scarcity
- the problems money solve
- the role of savings
- impacts of intervention in the economic process

Life Skills
- cleaning
- cooking
- respect
- character development
- self-improvement
- civilization
- role of family

100%. I like the life skills part especially. The concept of growth mindset and character development as you mentioned are so important. Among all the things you also mentioned ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
