there is no good answer to that for modern computers

so while the C64 wasnt very powerful and sophisticated and whatever, it was so unmediated that doing things that seem imminently like Advanced Computering was just.. right at your finger tips?

if you wanted more sophisticated things, you couldn't really get them except by loading in libraries, sure, but thats true today if you wanted to get your toes wet, to get SOMETHING on the screen, you could just do it out of the box
