most people don't even seem to understand what financialization is, or what it even means when someone says that an insurance company is a major investor in shit like real estate or private equity destruction of pizza hut

i wish more people understood that private equity firms are largely NOT vehicles for rich people but rather for corporations like insurance companies, pension/retirement funds, etc.

there's far FAR more money sloshing around due to financialization than due to rich assholes

it sounds like the OS is not in fact managing memory and has instead completely giving up managing it and handed that job over to competing applications and the OS only steps in when something goes wrong

you can stand underneath a plane or a rocket ship, you can be engulfed in a model of the solar system

and beyond that, the building itself, a beautiful artifact that engulfs them all, symbolic of humanity's attempts to make sense of the world and bring it into our understanding
