🥹 power of prayer…

never have i ever went to a church regularly
never have i ever read the bible in its entirety
never have i ever learned or memorized a prayer.

though,
every time, the source is
there.

god is listening.
god is waiting.
god is everything.

this morning, we abruptly found out about a grandmother nervously awaiting surgery in the hospital. the 4th one. they said this will be “the last one”.

after the fearfully sobering video chat from thousands of miles away, we decided to pray.

we spoke with hearts wide open, with plain english, with tears in our eyes. with love for our creator. with trust in the one.


immediately following the prayer, we check the groupchat to see that she no longer needs surgery. what needed to happen has happened.

our prayers have been heard.

this is not the first time- and we know it is not the last.


what a blessing it is,
to be alive
here and now.
