I'm declaring the existence of a phenomenon I call Bear Market Spouse Syndrome. My instinct is that this is mostly a wife thing, but we have some strong female Bitcoiners so I'll leave it at spouse.

The syndrome is one in which the spouse wants the most expensive shit only during bear markets. When the chart is soaring, nothing is needed. Good to go. Life is great. Proposals to do that thing, whatever it is, go unheard. When the bear hits, "you were right, we should spend some money on that."
