It’s beyond worrying when people decide they are better able to defend themselves in closing statements than their own defence barristers following restrictions placed on their legal representatives by the court.
How or why it is legal to be tried by jury for one crime which may allow the judge to pass sentence for a more serious crime with a longer sentence.
Removing trial by jury is not justice.
