I've recently taken to switching my phone off for hours at a time while I'm out. It was a bit weird, at first, but then it started to seem normal again. It's easy to not realise what's happening. Our brains have been hijacked.

The average person is a junkie. Phone, alcohol, sugar, whatever your preference of all of them. Takes a lot of effort and discipline to go against the grain in search of improvement.

It kinda reminds me of when you see old photos from the 70s or earlier and every single person is smoking a cigarette. Phones replaced cigarettes.
