I feel like referring to Holy Mary as a queen, when also calling Jesus a king is downplaying how Jesus is God.

How so?
By the working of the Holy Spirit, he was incarnate of the Virgin Mary. She bore the Son of God.

Now, I would clarify that Mary’s titles as ‘Queen’ are properly viewed as ‘Queen Mother’.

Calling Jesus King is correct. Kings are the lord of the land, so it would be accurate to call him such as he is the lord of all things. Mother Mary is to be revered, but in the absence of a King, Queens can on occasion have the same authority as a King. This equates Jesus to Mother Mary in terms ...
