Both Australia and UK currently have laws used to goldplate drugs prohibition as much as enforce road safety by denying drug users (even prescribed ones) use of the roads/driving, which is a big impact in car-dependent countries/regions, over here I regularly read about medical cannabis users and those on ADHD meds can also be pulled over - they risk getting a 1-3 year ban from driving and they are treated as "guilty until proven innocent" which isn't going to help their mental health..

We would still need to keep a very sharp eye on insurance companies, who might simply load premiums for medical cannabis users as they get treated as "higher risk"
