Maybe someone who should have known better at his age , but clearly liked his #cars and #driving fast, other than one driving ban in early middle age had 0 convictions so had quite likely had been getting away with a heavy right foot for years - until the one day he pushed it too far in the #weather of #Wales and paid a heavy price.

Lucky not to get immediate #prison (due to previous good character, and early guilty plea) he is also now carer for his wife who was permanently disabled in the #collision and it appears their #FamilyBusiness they both worked on is on the way out (its making large losses since the #RTC)

A good idea from a #RoadSafety partnership in the English #Midlands - to educate young #drivers about how to choose a good repair #garage (although it also seems some garages (especially those in main dealers) need to be investigated and prevented from excessive #upselling - I suspect #commission pay schemes for #mechanics may cause this problem as I've seen some job adverts for mechanics when they show "on target" salaries rather than a more honest flat pay rate for hours worked.

A lot of young folk struggle with costs of maintaining #tyres and are tempted to skimp on this (which is not safe!)

I don't buy Ikea furniture anyway, but from speaking to numerous Romanians one other consequence of this is #bears are dispersed to places where they come into contact with humans (and even end up wandering the streets in some rural areas, which is a hazard both to the bears and the rest of the local community)

unless you have a solid fuel burner and need to heat your house, and a supply of Harry Potter books (although its probably against some environment/pollution rules and they don't have that much calorific value)

Incidents like this are exactly why I feel its often difficult to tell apart incompetence (and/or folk getting disengaged from their work due to poor employment conditions) from deliberate sabotage
