@nprofile1q... thankfully dbus is also something I avoid, banned it out from my gentoo systems ages ago.
Mostly because it's like a keylogger framework on a desktop, and also library so badly done that if the daemon crashes, programs connected to it also then crash and sometimes even fail to recover (had that on SailfishOS, IIRC the virtual keyboard didn't come back…).
