That's what I learned: we all pay for people in our local government to make their bosses look good.
It's "obvious", right? If I stop & think for a second about everything I know about political office-holders throughout fucking history, I think "well, I guess I knew that," but that's the fucking thing, isn't it?
We're all supposed to just know & understand that "this is how it works". We're supposed to accept that OBVIOUSLY we pay people to hype up elected officials. It's a perk of the job.
