This was just a feeling I had. I dunno for sure.

Like, if you don't know what's going on, or the truth of a situation isn't well known, it could actually be impossible to have a "nuanced" conversation that doesn't turn into a bunch of guesswork and made up conjectures.

And in the case where you do know something to be true, someone could say to have a nuanced discussion just as a persuasive technique to get you to believe some yarn they're trying to spin. Like, "you're ignoring important nuances," but the nuances are garbage.

And some things really are nuanced because there are a lot of conflicting things that are all true. I think that's the best place to address nuances.
