My kingdom for a type of strawberry that lasts two days in the fridge.

We have shot rockets to the heavens but alas, this seems to be harder.

Wash your strawberries in a mix of water and vinegar, then dry them and put away...you'll get a week out of them.

Gotta get the non-organic GMO ones still glistening from the aerial pesticides. Those fat, juicy monsters last for days.

Wash and let them soak for a while in water and vinegar. Dry and place in the refrigerator. It'll be good. Or not 😅

They freeze pretty good. You just need to remember to take out 2 portions every couple days. Blueberries and mangos as well. Pro tip: Buy fruit in season, better and cheaper and have it for as long it last. Pro tip 2: Use a vacuum sealer to store it.

I've tried fighting this battle more times than I care to admit. The best I've done is: 1) rinse 2) dunk in weak vinegar/water solution 3) towel dry very gently 4) store in container with a tightly fitting lid. I've gotten a week this way, but not consistently. YMMV

They talk about this on the All In Podcast occasionally. I think we will see better strawberries from Ohalo Genetics eventually, which is David Friedberg’s startup. https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidfriedberg
