I personally just find it odd to aggregate it up into white because it feels like an artificial unity, more reactive to the outside pressures than inspired by shared cultural history. German pride, British pride, Italian pride...heck, even anglo-saxon pride, celtic pride, slavic pride, all make sense. But white pride sounds sort of akin to brown pride -- it's a group identified more by those outside of it than those inside.
