It's almost funny how Harry Potter media seems to have encouraged people to latch onto what ought to be the "wrong things."

The inherent conservatism in Rowling's work means that she failed at any attempted commentary so badly that people maintaining the fandom Wiki thought "what's most relevant about characters in the story-universe? Oh yeah..."blood status".
