I like the idea that people are already using nostr without having any idea that they are.

I think eventually most Nostr users will be this way - no clue that they are part of a global protocol and network.

Not that any of us can predict the future, but the evidence seems to be on your side. Think of all the people who use the internet, but have no idea what TCP and IP are. Same for email and the underlying email protocols. Successfully adopted protocols tend to become invisible to most end users.
