Yeah, I get your point. I feel pretty much the same.
For me, stuff like Fedimint is at most something for very small payments, nothing serious. When it comes to trust and privacy, Bitcoin on-chain still feels like the strongest base, and Lightning is already the more solid option in practice.
No real reason to take extra risks with secondary platforms.
