Hmm.. 2KG per KW... Gasoline is 0.7489 KG and 8.76 KW per liter. If the engine is 20% efficient that's going to be 1.75 KW usable per 0.7489 KG, or 0.42 KG per KW. So with this battery chemistry you...

You know where this could potentially have an application would be like trainers or club aircraft where you go up and putter around, but nobody's really trying to GO anywhere in particular - and you want to save money on fuel...

Also catastrophic failure in EV motors & batteries is more-or-less unheard of so that eliminates one source of anxiety.

Rolls-Royce modified a Nemesis NXT with a couple YASA 750R motors (we have one such motor at our shop that we scored at an estate sale) and set a speed record. Its endurance time is not known...but cannot imagine it being much. https://youtu.be/4hapBP-Cdis
