The GIGN located the victims Tuesday morning in a hotel room in Val-de-Marne, after more than 20 hours in captivity. No ransom was paid; several suspects were arrested thanks to the victims’ vehicle.
France has now recorded one crypto-related kidnapping every five days since January 2026.
