I used to think Japanese was an unexpressive language when compared to English. I called it "the straitjacket of languages". But the more I study it, the more I realize it is expressive, but in completely different ways than English, so I feel bad for writing it off. Maybe I'll one day feel the same way about German, but not likely lol
