If you're intending to use it in a pumpkin pie: most everyone I know, including myself, is pretty broad-minded about what spices go into a pumpkin pie. You're well within bounds here.
OTOH if you have some other application in mind, like making your own tear gas because *reasons*, well... you're on your own. :-)
