It’s interesting when you think about the adoption and widespread use of AI in terms of the “parable of the two builders” from the Bible. The one about building one’s house on sand vs building it on rock.

What really baked my noodle when it dawned on me, is that AI literally IS built on sand. (silicon) And maybe in more ways than one.

The business world will certainly leverage AI coding tools, but I’m sure most here agree the learning of manual coding must be kept alive. I can see incentives for big tech to get a generation hooked on agentic coding tools of which they are the gatekeepers. That’s a pretty easy setup for a rug some day in the future. What do you think? #asknostr

I think that all forms of technology that make humanity almost stupefied by them are on the whole undesirable, even if efficient and productive. The idea that programming might be a totally obscure thing that only very few understand in the future does not seem promising, I do believe relying on LL...
