I think that all forms of technology that make humanity almost stupefied by them are on the whole undesirable, even if efficient and productive.
The idea that programming might be a totally obscure thing that only very few understand in the future does not seem promising, I do believe relying on LLMs for programming will diminish our ability to think in consistent and creative ways. It's like going everywhere by car and then asking why is it that your legs hurt after walking for 10 minutes.
