do you think a few gruesome vivid dreams can create a trauma response irl?
😅🥲😕

just woke myself up whimpering from a plethora of long scary dreams, that kinda had to do with an irrational fear i’ve recently worked very hard to overcome. as soon as i woke i up i reminded myself it was a dream and it stopped the tears/fear, now i’m a bit worried that i’ll freak out next time i try to go swimming. (because in the very last dream, it felt like time had passed since seeing my friends get aten by alligators and i went swimming but within a few moments, had a panic attack)
not tryina embarrass myself at the public swimming hole 😅 & my new friends here have no idea how bad that fear was for me..
maybe i’m heavy overthinking because it’s still before sunrise. or maybe i should avoid swimming in fishy waters for the next few weeks… life is funny 😆
