@nprofile1q... What will be interesting to see in 200 or so years is whether there was any kind of global homogenization that happened over time (per language, I mean). With global tv, movies, social media videos, youtube, as well has increased global migrations, whether any standardization in words, phrases, pronunciations, etc happened and how much. Compared to the 200 years leading up to maybe 40 or 50 years ago (when global *verbal* comms was non-existent or limited). One example: how the UK and the US had different definitions of “billion” but in common use, one has now mostly prevailed.
