NOSTR saved my bitcoin

I nearly stopped following Bitcoin because the Core and Knots stuff was so inane

I couldn’t access my funds for a while when the news broke and I had to get someone from our meet up to drive me 5 hours to get what I needed because my car was in a garage and I was just using public transport this week.

I initially moved my funds to a nunchuk hot wallet because my set up was definitely soon on the chopping board.

I went to bed and woke up to see it was also affected by MK4s

I unfortunately moved everything to an exchange despite stacking non-kyc btc for the past three years.

I haven’t slept in 2 days

This is not bitcoins 9/11. This is Bitcoin’s 2008. The entire fabric of security of multiple peoples livelihood has been ripped apart and trusted Bitcoin “institutions” dead. This will have a ripple effect for the next 10 years or more. Bitcoin doesn’t give a shit you lost it.

I am really slow to change my set up. I use to have a Trezor and thought I “levelled up” with coldcard. The dice roll people are right and kudos to them. I read all those guides and thought they were insane. I luckily had a passp because I knew they gave me some individual power but I wasn’t rolling a fucking dice, fuck off (at the time).

I’m still not really sure what to do. My passion is working in medicine. I got into Bitcoin by fluke. I have no major further intellectual depth than my set up. I need time and to be relaxed. I did not prepare for this.

I think I’m going to multisig with an institution. I actually think the dice roll is probably best but I’m stressed and I’d need to learn about it when I’m more relaxed. I know it takes 5 minutes but it can also take 0.5 seconds of one bad decision to fuck it all up.

I don’t know if I’ll ever return to single sig. Or not how I had it anyways. I may restart a non-KYC stack with a dice rolled wallet, keep it small and use it to orange pill some people.

There was already few people I trusted and now there’s even less. Please share anything else I need to know but read @Vlad, Bitcoin Takeover Podcast @Cyph3rp9nk and @Laser before you do.
