New Mexico's official languages are English and Spanish. There are many Latinos in states nowhere near the southern border too. Michigan, Washington, etc.
People keep posting online that the United State's official language is English and it's like, umm... nope. The US doesn't have one. Only states have them.
Most have one official language and other languages that they also issue documentation and require taught in schools, or something. Mostly French and Spanish.
