I also find it quite interesting that people keep talking about "the scientific method" of proving if things are real, but the scientific method is actually all about theories and assertions that then need to go through vigorous testing, and the results are what should be pure and raw evidence regardless of the original idea or angle, but that's not how people use it, they disregard the results of the study and only care about the initial ideas!
I'm glad more and more of this is finally coming to light so those of us with eyes to see can tell the difference and not just believe things "because the scientist said so"!
