Gave our son a plastic cup to play with, and as I watched him move it around, at one point it got it to his mouth like how he's seen us drink countless times! I was so impressed I told my husband but also went to show him with our drink... then proceeded to spill said drink on the sides of my mouth, onto our sons head... Eh, I think our 5 month old was better at pretend drinking than I was at real drinking. 😅🤣🤣🤣

I loved those discovery moments. I remember Jr being so happy with himself after pouring water down his front "drinking" out of a cup. 🫂

If you're a Christian, you should be black pilled. This is Paul's advice in Ephesians 6:12.
AnnSofiNovelist profile picture
Isn't black pilled when you're hopeless? That's not at all what I get out of Ephesians 6:12. To me that verse is about looking beyond the surface, and actually attacking the causes rather than what we might think is the reason.
Basically, stop fighting each other, and go after those influencing other humans.
To me that's actually showing hope!

It's entirely possible I'm using the term wrong, but what I mean to express is that we do not live in a world filled with good. We live in a world dominated by a present darkness. We must realize that we have to wrestle back against it on Christ's behalf for good. It's not to be negotiated with but ...

Our son keeps doing things that remind me of cats. The latest is when he plays with my hand, he pulls it close with his hands while kicking it away with his feet... 😅🤣 I'm basically his pray that he's playing with before he eats it... 😬🤣

Woohoo, we finished making the paperback cover tonight for my husband's upcoming book, "How to Build Deeply Authentic Relationships with Yourself and Others".

We considered publishing it but then realized we hadn't done the finishing touches of the actual book, so hopefully we can get that done tomorrow!

So close!!!

Oh, good to know of potential future incidents to look out for. We're at the stage where we want to get a stroller so we don't need to carry the carseat anymore, cause our 5 month old son is gaining healthy weight all the time.

Awe twin girls!? I look forward to having more kids, and we're both kids of twins (non identical) so we might have some ourselves one day. I'm glad we've started with the one though, as it helps us get the hang of things.
Bless you guys!

Interesting, this makes sense. I never really stuck to those rules of social segregation, but I grew up in church. I'm a millennial, and I'm married to a genXer, and I have friends in their 50s, from before I met my husband.
I have met people who wanted to stick to their own agegroups and it made no sense to me. I'd rather go to the fun group than the "right" group.

same. i have learned things and had a laugh with every age group from 5 years old to 90 and obviously, small children at all stages are entertaining, unless they are showing signs of abuse

Well, that was a lot!
When we arrived, I went straight to feed and change our sons diaper. He had pooped some but unfortunately, there was a bit of a pee leakage incident, so I washed his clothes in the sink.

Then he eventually took a nap which was great! As I was then able to relax and get some me time.

Then he woke up again, and when he started getting fussy, my husband mentioned that there was a smell and asked me to check it.
I picked up our son, and realized he'd pooped again, more this time, and this time it had leaked out the top of the diaper and was all up his back!

I took him with me to get a change, but realized his other clothes are still wet! I also couldn't lay him down, cause that would just spread poop all over the place! So, I had him standing, while I tried to awkwardly get the onesie off of him, pulling it down instead of over his head! I was able to let him lay on his tummy as that side was clean, so that helped a little.
I tried to get a quick rinse of the onesie as I was right next to the sink, but they have automatic water here, so of course it refused to let out any water! I kinda gave up, focused back on my baby, putting a paper towel on his back so I could lay him down to change the diaper, and also got some TP cause we're close to out of wipes, so I wanted to conserve those for the last swipe instead of the first.

Our son had started crying when I was getting the clothes off of him and kept whining, because of course pooping wasn't enough, he was also noticing that he was hungry and thus was telling me he wanted to eat!

I got him cleaned up just enough to fold the new diaper over his privates when someone came in to use the bathroom. It's quite a small bathroom and the changing table is in the main part with the sink and there's two stalls, so the lady appologized and snuck into the first stall.

Then I got the diaper closed up and the lady appologized again as she snuck out. I had brought the ring sling with me as I have previously wrapped that around our son as a shirt, but since I had been wearing a sweater when I first got in there, but took it off as the sleves kept falling down and I realized they were a liability and a sure poop spreader, I had taken it off, so I decided to put that on our son! He also seemed cold so I wanted something warmer on him as well.

Then I went back to rinsing his clothes. At first I had planned to put his pants back on, but then realized they had also gotte poop on them, so I tried to only rinse the lining where there was poop, but of course water also got all over one of the legs, cause water... So, he was laying next to me in my sweater, one arm out the head hole with his head so he could suck on it instead of my sweater, which helped a bit.
I finally got water to start coming out of the auto water faucet, so I rinsed the pants and the onesie and as I was almost done, another lady opened the door and appologized as she snuck into the other stall.
I squeezed out the last bit of water, realizing that the water was hot this time too, but not as scortching hot as the first time I washed clothes there today, when I literally saw steam coming off of the clothes for a few seconds after I was almost done rinsing them, but had to go back in to make sure the soap was truly out! So, I succeeded in rinsing the clothes faster this time!

Then I rolled up the sleeves and pulled our sons arms out of each armhole so he was more dressed, packed up the last things, and brought him back out, hung his wet clothes over my bag and then FINALLY (according to him) got him some food!

Then I brought him back to my husband and put some of my socks on him that I remembered I tried before and they went up to his knees, so that will probably help him feel warmer.

Then my husband bounced the car seat unutil he fell asleep, cause after getting his diaper changed and getting a snack, we were both ready for a nap, but only one of us gets one. 🤣

If you're a little bored, or are looking for something fun, challenging, exciting, and heartwarming, get a baby, they're amazing, and totally worth it! 🥰

@LeviJohnson.net thank you for being an amazing father to our son, so I can have breaks when I need them, and get joy from watching you play with him! You're such a great dad! I'm so glad you're my husband!

English clicked for me at 12 because I spent all summer watching TV and didn't keep up with the Swedish subtitles. So, I learned this quite early, and agree. I also think I'm awesome, so I can also think that most other people are awesome, since we can really only think of others what we think of ourselves.
*Unless we put others on pedistoles until they show themselves human and then fall to the limit of our self-love... or self-hate.

Interesting.
That reminds me of having heard something about Church being one of the few places where all ages come together. I can't remember the details now, or where I heard it. I do know that even most churches will separate the kids from the main service, however, after the service, Swedish churches all gather together for fika, and this all ages do have together, so that might be what I rememeber hearing about, but I'm not sure.
