spam, they haven't figured out how to stop spam. Even tho most my relays are paid relays. The spam still gets through. The clients dont know how to stop it. I don't want randoms or free relays users interacting with my npub

Clearly nostr botched DMs with now some 5 competing "standards". I wish, all clients would for the sake of compatibility just keep nip4 at least as a fall-back. The fact that you can DM people from clients that experiment with new ways of sending DMs traps people feeling not heard.
