Christianity was damaged pretty badly when it became the official religion of the Roman Empire because it them became a weapon to wield political power with. Unscrupulous politicians could wear the skin suit of Christianity in order to get what they want.

When I imagine a Christian state, I imagine something minimal and non invasive. One that doesn't mind saying, "We aren't God and cannot do everything for you."

Christians are anti government. GOD not government gives the law.

We achieved our first significant victory by freeing the state from religious influence. The next, and equally crucial, battle will be to free it from monetary control.
