Serious and honest question: Are there any problems threatening humanity/society which aren't being made worse by capitalism?

What do I mean, well... Even natural stuff like cancer would probably have better treatments available if we collectively decided to use accumulated human wealth towards researching it.

Only thing I can think of now is, maybe, meteors (dinosaurs-killer-type). Though I can't say they are threatening per se but more of a probability. Not to mention other exo-solar dangers
