We should have let Roger's and Bitmain's mempool spam play out back then. SegWit and Taproot were introduced to reduce the fees which had exploded thanks to the spam and thanks to Bitmain assembling empty blocks while Jihan Wu was bashing "small blockers".

Now we're looking for ways to store all kinds of bullshit on a monetary system to incentivise paying for block space. Do you guys realise how absurd this is?
