I spend BTC all the time (after conversion to #monero obviously), doesn't matter if the supply is fixed.
You're fixated (heh) on one thing, while ignoring that there are a lot other variables.
It's also not black and white, all or nothing. You can spend a bit. You can spend & replace the sats by buying more. You can set budgets. etc
