Listening to RNZ and the 'IP' discussion for university researchers, and talk about spin-out companies, foreign investment, etc. The pundits are talking about the gov't specifying the 'wrong metrics' for quality... and I'm sure that these two guys have drunk a lot of strong-IP koolaid (which is why they have these roles). 1/2

We need to stop focusing on patents or copyright. We need to stop putting public funds into startups. They 're a *loss* to NZ in almost every single case.
