Explanation for how scammers are using fake @primal.net verification to scam primal users.

Primals caching servers allow scammers to impersonate their users by showing any @primal.net input as a valid nip 05

If your nip 05 is anything else primal will check that it's actually valid, and other clients will check if a primal nip 05 is actually valid.

So the risk of getting scammed or impersonated by fake nip 05 verification only applies to primal users.

So primal makes it easier for scammers but it only effects their own users. I think you gotta be a special kind of stupid to get primal verification anyway with how expensive it is. People paying $70 a year subscription to primal only to be more easily impersonated. Meanwhile BCHnostr verificati...
