@nprofile1q... put the HD from the dead system into my spare and with the graphics card from the dead system it wasn't happy.

Swapped the graphics card with another one, I could use the onboard one but RAM is tight.

It will now boot to text mode okay, it wasn't even happy doing that before. Adding back a graphical desktop to see how stable it is...

So pleased I have spares to offer in exchange.
