Waitaki is pretty much a safe National seat. In 2023 the Nats got 51% of the vote, NZFirst 4% and Labour 24%. I can't see NZFirst causing farmers to desert National in numbers. Like landlords, they're nett beneficiaries of this government's largesse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waitaki_(elector...
