I was up in Te Tai Tokerau with whānau to farewell the land that my mother was born on. The region had been farmed by whānau for well over a century but the last remaining cousin in the area has sold his farm. I was reminiscing with my cousin about hearing the train at night when staying at their farm when we were both kids. Having lived his entire life on theat land, he told me one of the biggest economic disasters for Re Tai Tokerau was the govt abandoning Northern rail.

Seems Winston is once again trying to differentiate himself and NZ First from this coalition of morons by stating the obvious and suggesting more use of rail to move freight rather than further degrading NZ’s roads with even heavier payloads being moved by trucks.

So it appears the #NZPol National Party, this time via political troll Ani O’Brien, have decided to go all out on attacking TVNZ, now targeting Maiki Sherman for an alleged homophobic slur from last year.

How very Trumpian of National.

Political commentator Ani O'Brien wrote on her Substack page on Tuesday morning that TVNZ political editor Maiki Sherman allegedly used a homophobic slur against Stuff journalist Lloyd Burr, which led to the drinks in Willis' office being shut down.
