Been using Affinity. The unified app is very good. Some people swear by Krita. That cloned one I did not try. But the After Effects clone they made was decent. However some basic things are not working properly atm.

Gimp is excellent, dont hesitate to use it. Take a moment to learn it, theres quite a few knobs. ✅
