@nprofile1q... Entering the duress PIN will quickly wipe 3 separate things required to derive the encryption keys and then shut down the device. It will then fail to boot a couple times and show a data corruption screen for wiping the device. That screen is part of the OS and is shown when it can't read the encrypted data partition.
Did you have a duress PIN configured? This sounds like accidentally entering the duress PIN rather than simply entering the wrong PIN.
