@nprofile1q... That would be the direct opposite of improving privacy and security. It would throw away a massive amount of privacy, security, usability and app compatibility. We would still need a fork of AOSP to run both open source and proprietary Android apps in a virtual machine, so why not run that directly? It would also still depend on the same kind of device support code through a compatibility layer. It would make things worse in nearly every way we care about while not solving a problem.
