GM friends. Would love your opinion on store layout.

Option A: Seating area then Coffee Bar.
Option B: Coffee Bar first, then seating.

A, but with a little bit smaller Coffee Bar. It flows and welcome better.

₿ has the till at the front door could create a bottleneck

I lean B
Marcelinho · 101w
I prefer coffee bar first, because of customers who buy a coffee to go, so the seating area should also be quieter - just my opinion

A. B fucks up customer flow

Would prefer A. Is more invitimg in my opinion

Both works. A is better for staff, —to not cross path with costumers that way often—, however it segregates the costumer's area layout. B has the costumer area nice and tidy, it will benefit whatever decoration and the overall experience of the place, however staff has less work-space, they woul...

Off the cuff option b. Those seated won’t be as disturbed by walking and weather every time the door opens.

Option A is my pick - isn’t as crowded and the employees can keep an eye on entire store including the WC and possible outside customers. I agree with fellow Nostrs that less people want to sit next to the door - is it possible to add a 2nd door if you live near in the cold? Biggest problem with ...

I'm leaning more towards A. Having the coffee bar that close to the entrance could become too cramped if you have a lot of customers.
TheWildHustle · 101w
Option A stops a jam from happening with the coffee line and people walking in.

Option B.

A is more welcoming and lets people spread out; B will promote congestion right by the door.

Btw I’m SO excited about this 😁 Are you going to have Jordanian specialty coffee or anything? Like the green one you were telling me about? (Is that the same thing as qishr?)

Depends on what you’re going for. If location is a busy around town then option B. If it’s in slow sleepy area then A.

I say B, but if there was a way to fix the open feeling of A with bar from B that would be great

Option A makes the coffee bar more snug
body (it's me again) ⚡️DSB#♾️⚡️ · 101w
Option A, seating first offers more window space/natural light to the customer; however if there is a long line/queue then the congestion could spill out into the seating area, making the seated customers uncomfortable--but also creating a higher seat turnover rate. Option B, coffee bar first encou...

B for me.
Blissful Sats · 101w
Option A is the preferred design
Leon · 101w
Option A seems more “cozy”.
SuiGenerisJohn · 101w
Option B gets people to the product first and then they can sequester off. I don't need uncaffeinated people walking past me while I'm enjoy the dark drink. Joking aside, my instinct is B

Thinking of make the customers walk to where you want them to order and look at POS items. Not sure how that helps
